This chapter focuses on Miyazawa Kenji's efforts to create a space for literary works. It explains that Miyazawa failed to gain entry into Tokyo media channels because his works were not considered appropriate for young children. It highlights the influence of this failure on Miyazawa's decision to explore local options including the regional newspaper where he was able to publish three dōwa in the “Mainichi shinbun.” This chapter also the rhetoric of Miyazawa advertisement concerning the place called Iihatov in his works.
