Making Room for Reason
This chapters goes back to Martin Heidegger's comment that “faith has no place in thinking” in order to suggest how the theory of poetic force outlined in this book may be understood to make a non-empirical place for believing in reason. Hannah Arendt's late lectures on the political philosophy implied by Kantian aesthetics are interpreted as providing an illustration of this point.
