This chapter explores job entry dynamics, job quality, and job duration for the cohorts of Croatian school leavers who completed their education between 2003 and 2008. It claims that Croatia is another transitional country hitherto untouched by school-to-work transition research, both in country-specific or comparative fashion. The chapter is organized in nine sections. The second section describes the institutional setting of the Croatian education system, demographics, and labor market environment. The third section presents the key research issues. The fourth section describes the data and variables used in the study. The fifth to eighth sections examines educational achievement and job entry dynamics, quality, and duration. The last section sums up the analysis.
